RULES BASICS
“Golf is both quite simple and very complicated”

1. Out of bounds - Fence on hole #1, stakes on #5, and #8 (penalty: 1 stroke and another ball- you are laying 3)
   
2. Ball may be improved in own fairway with club head.  Play ball as it lies in the rough or wrong fairway
   
3. Ball on concrete spillway, visible rock, cart paths, ball washers benches, or new trees - drop 2 club lengths no closer to hole with no penalty
   
4. Ball in water - lay out at edge of water in line of flight - 1 stroke penalty
   
5. Spillway ditch on #5 - lay back with no penalty
   
6. Replace turf in fairways or rough - rake sand traps - fix ball markers on greens
   
7. Club must not touch sand in sand traps before swing - 2 stroke penalty 
   
8. Players only allowed on greens. No children on Greens or in Sand Traps
   
9. Children under 12 no allowed on course unless accompanied by an adult
   
10. Do not drive motor cards on tees.  Keep motor carts 30 feet from greens
    
11. Each player must have own golf equipment
    
12. No more than 5 players in a group at any time
    
13. Ball in ditch - on #1 or #7, lay behind ditch with 1 stroke penalty (lie permitting - play ball where it lies without penalty)
